My name is Cooper!

Meet Cooper! Cooper is a 7 year old Redbone Coonhound/Lab Retriever mix, searching for his forever home.

Cooper is a smart, cheerful, lovable old fella. He adores people, especially people who bring him treats!

Coop is happy to go for a leisurely stroll, or a play around the yard with some toys. He loves to lounge around, and is a big fan of cuddles. Cooper would love a home where he is the only pet, so he can get every last bit of attention and affection possible! Despite his love for people, he's comfortable being alone as well. He does however need some extra help and patience when it comes to getting into vehicles.

Coonhounds are very intelligent dogs, and they take very well to training and skill building. They love scent work, and lots of mental stimulation. They can be vocal, but we have yet to see that side of Cooper come out! Retrievers are loyal, social dogs, and they form deep bonds with their people. This is the side of Cooper that stands out right away!

This easy going fella occasionally gets a little worked up - if he sees a cat, he will probably chase after it. He has been selective about other dogs as well, and can be reactive on leash.

Cooper is an older boy, so he will need to be fed senior food, and have his health monitored more closely than a young pup. This would likely include routine blood work to make sure he's healthy!

** Cooper is awaiting a dental surgery on Dec 23rd, so he is not quite ready for adoption yet. He is available for Foster-To-Adopt until he gets his medical clearance post-surgery! **
