My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy is a BABY, and with his long curly hair, who could resist him? If snuggling a baby bear is in your to-do list, then Poppy is your guy, he is literally a cub, but a sweet, cuddling, loving one! He's so sweet, and a definite curious boy! He is most content when cuddling, sleeping, or actively gnawing on a stuffie! This guy is about 2 months old, just about 5 pounds of curly hair, and those big brown eyes; accompanied by his puppy breath that has led us to ALL fall in love! Poppy is always in cuddle-mode, no matter where he is, or where he's headed, it's ultimately a lap that is in his near future. Without mentioning his loooooongggg body &, short, stumpy legs, his breeds just don't make sense in the best way!

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
