My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Basil, the definition of family dog. He LOVES kids, cats, other dogs, shoot, he's willing to befriend anyone AND anything! At about 3 months old, 10 pounds, his amazing, gentle demeanor is more than you could ever ask for. He's got his basic commands almost down, along with being crate-trained, he's essentially an adult dog, laid back, easy-going, but is also more than willing to play, romp the doggy run with other dogs, and wiggle his butt ALL the time! One of my favorite traits of his, other than his ADORABLY long tail, and puppy dog eyes; is definitely his willingness to snuggle. While we aren't 100% sure what makes Basil - Basil, he is a purebred companion dog, that is one thing for certain! Basil will do phenomenally in just about ANY home, if you sit on the floor, or the sofa, you're bound to get a Basil boy in your lap, giving you kisses!

We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!

Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
