Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thank you for your interest in Charlie! Charlie lives in an Alabama Foster Home and will transport when he is adopted.
We will put the Adopter in touch with the Foster family for FaceTime and videos so that you can see your dog in real time and learn more about him.
Charlie is approximately three years old and weighs 55 pounds. We do think he has German shorthair pointer and Staffordshire terrier in his breed mix. It’s possible he has a number of breeds in his DNA. What’s important is that he is a gentle and sweet dog, that is learning to trust the world around him. He likes his crate and enjoys playing with toys.
Someone left Charlie on the side of the highway with another dog back in July. He was a nice dog that deserved better than the loser that dumped him. We promised Charlie a loving home. He needs 3 to 5 days to come out of his shell. He didn’t have an easy and predictable life before he was rescued. He has a thick scar on the back of his neck where he once wore an embedded collar before we met him. He no longer remembers those times. And he would look so nice in a ! You can find a video of Charlie on our Another Chance Dog Rescue Facebook page.
He has not lived with cats. The cats that he sees outside of the yard upset him. He has not lived with children, but he has been good with school-age children that visit. He’s good with strangers, but can be shy at first meeting.
Charlie’s adoption includes neuter, rabies, heartworm negative, multiple vaccines, and boosters, and parasite prevention. He comes with his medical records.
Serious adopters should fill out the application online. Copy and paste the link into your browser.
Total adoption fee $375 includes transportation to New England and a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian before transport.
