Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Smalls!
Age: Senior
Weight: 8 pounds
Breed: Chihuahua mix
Good with: Dogs of all sizes, cats, older children
House trained: When kept on a good schedule - we are using belly bands as back up
Crate trained: Yes
Special needs: Old healed injuries to his hips/pelvis
Smalls is an amazing little guy and would be a perfect addition to your household! With his long slender legs, soft brown eyes, and adorably big ears, he resembles a tiny fawn. He is a friendly, affectionate dog who wants his foster mom and dad to sit down and cuddle with him whenever they can. When they are busy, he will find a soft spot near his canine foster brothers, a warm dog bed in which to cuddle, or a sunny space to soak up some rays.
Smalls loves going for walks and has great leash manners! Despite a big size difference, he keeps up with his foster doggie brother on their daily walks. He is always up for a car ride where he can get out to socialize, meet new people, and greet friendly dogs. His favorite things are treats, sun bathing, and snuggling under blankets. Smalls rarely barks and is happy to let the other dogs guard the house.
While Smalls loves everyone he meets, he might do best in a home with older children and adults because he is fragile due to his small size, slender frame, and some old healed injuries. Smalls prefers to walk on his own rather than being picked up. He also spends a lot of time under blankets, so you have to be careful not to sit on him. Smalls will be the perfect companion during these long winter months ahead and will likely be happy to skip walks on cold snowy days.
**Smalls is fostered in the Madison area
