My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beau, the happiest and most cheerful dog you`ll ever meet! This smiley
guy is a big fan of walks and loves spending time with his doggy friends at
the shelter. Beau is incredibly affectionate and playful, and he`s always
ready for a game of fetch or a good belly rub. He`s also very treat
motivated, so training and bonding with him will be a breeze! Beau would be
the perfect companion for beach trips, hikes, and long walks. He`s loyal
and ready to accompany you wherever you go. He`s also great with children
and does well with other dogs. Volunteers and staff can`t get enough of
Beau`s infectious happiness and love taking him out on day trips and walks.
If you`re looking for a dog that will spoil you with love and bring joy to
your life, Beau is the perfect match. Come meet him and see his beautiful
smile in person! He`s ready to live beyond the kennel and become your
forever friend.

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
