My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing LIVY, a 2-3 year old,11-12 pound, Llasa Apso (perhaps Shih Tzu) mix with a beautiful tan, gray, and white coat of soft hair. She is in foster care with a family with younger children, and two other smaller dogs - all of whom she gets along with well. Livy really enjoys playing with the other dogs; she will also play by herself with her toys, and likes to play fetch with a ball. Be sure you have plenty of toys because she will definitely play with all of them.

Livy is an attention seeker who will gives hugs and enjoys some snuggles. She is a dog who definitely needs people who want to share their lives with her. She would do best with someone home more throughout the day and the companionship of another similar sized dog or two because they seem to make her happy. Livy’s foster mom works from home and Livy stays with her in the office.

Livy is crate trained, housebroken, and does not require crating at night; she sleeps in bed with her foster family without issue. Livy does well with meeting strangers and warms up to people quickly. Livy will require grooming approximately every3 months to keep her coat in good condition.

This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, been provided inoculations, tests for parasites and diseases, wormed, spayed, and microchipped. More about this rescue

A Caring Place, is an All Breed Dog Rescue organization that is exclusively foster based (no facility) and is volunteer run. We rescue dogs and puppies from animal control facilities, dog pounds, and other shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. In addition we take in dogs surrendered by their owners who can or are no longer willing to care for their dog. Each dog this rescue takes in receives all medical care and treatment necessary to be healthy, and then place them into loving temporary homes (foster homes) until adopted. Without our foster care provider's, we could not save these dogs.

FOSTER CARE PROVIDERS are always needed!
