Penny is a polite and pretty 9-month-old retriever-terrier-mix. She was picked up as a stray, no in the neighborhood claimed her but all agreed she was a friendly girl! She can be a little a shy at first, but it doesn’t take her long to warm up and then she’s all in for snuggles and treats. She seems friendly and we think she would fit well into almost any family! Come meet Penny to see if she could be your good girl!
As with all puppies, Penny will need some patience and guidance as she learns the rules of her new home, but she’s going to make a wonderful family dog!
The adoption fee is $50 and before Penny leaves the shelter, she will be spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations!

The fee for adoption is $50, cash only. We have many great pets available for adoption at our shelter and during our offsite adoption events. There is no resident location requirement to adopt a pet from us. We have a friendly staff that will assist you in locating a compatible pet for your home and family. Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
