Introducing Tank, a gentle soul who is searching for a second chance at happiness. This sweet 4-year-old mixed breed recently lost his beloved owner and is back at the shelter, feeling a bit lost and sad. Tank’s heart is full of love to give; he just needs someone patient to help him heal.
Despite his current shyness, Tank has a warm and caring nature that shines through once he feels safe. He thrives on kindness and gentle affection, and he’ll reward you with loyal companionship and quiet moments of love. A calm home where he can feel secure and appreciated would be perfect for him.
Tank enjoys leisurely walks and cozy snuggle sessions—he’s not one for high-energy play but cherishes the simple joys of life. With a little time and encouragement, he will slowly open up and show you his true, loving personality.
If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet boy, please consider giving Tank the love and stability he needs. He’s ready to find his forever family and create new, happy memories. 🐶💖

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.
Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).
Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.
Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
