Introducing Matista, the adorable 3-year-old female dog with a heart as big as her playful spirit! This sweet pup has quite the tale to tell - originally arriving at the shelter with a litter of adorable puppies, she's watched proudly as each one found their forever home. Now, it's her turn to find her own loving family!
Matista is a bundle of joy, with a wagging tail and a curious nose always ready for adventure. She's a social butterfly who enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those who share her zest for life. With kids, she's a gentle and patient companion, happy to play games and share cuddles. However, there's one thing Matista wants you to know - she's not a fan of cats. So, if you're looking for a feline-free household, she's the perfect fit!

Find the pet for you at the Adoption Center:
Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.
Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).
Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.
Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:
