I’m a 4-year-old coonhound mix, brimmin’ with all the personality you’d expect from a fellow who’s seen a few trails and enjoyed plenty of belly rubs. I got a warmth about me that'll make you feel right at home, no matter where you are.
Now, I ain’t just your typical four-legged friend — I’m a true companion, one who’ll stick by your side, whether we’re out ramblin’ through the woods or loungin’ on the porch together. I got a bit of pep in my step, too; toss a ball my way, and you’ll see what I mean! But when all’s said and done, nothin’ beats curlin' up close and enjoyin' a quiet, cozy evening with my folks.

Walkin’ Gentleman: They say I’m a sight to behold on a leash — calm, focused, and ready to mosey wherever you’re headin’. Whether it’s a trot around the block or a full-blown expedition into the great outdoors, I’m rarin’ to go.
Playful as a Pup: Oh, I do love a good game! Fetch, tug-of-war, you name it. I got an easygoing nature, but don't think I won’t put my heart into every game we play.
Champion Cuddler: At the end of the day, I’m all about the snuggles. I got warmth to share, and I reckon I’ll keep you as cozy as a quilt on a frosty winter’s night.
Now, as for my ideal home, well, I reckon it’s a place where folks got time for a fella like me — folks who enjoy a bit of play, a bit of fresh air, and a heap of affection. Whether you’re the adventurous type or someone who just loves a good snuggle after a long day, I’m your hound.

Angels of Assisi’s adoption center is open from 12-6pm, 7 days a week. Adoption Specialists and Volunteer Ambassadors are eager to help you find the pet that would fit best in your family.
Adoptable Pets in Foster Homes:
Some of our available pets are currently in foster homes. If an animal is currently in a foster home, it is noted in the animal's biography online. To meet a pet in foster care, please fill out a non-binding adoption application, and the foster parent will contact you to schedule a meet and greet once the application has been approved (generally within 24 hours).
Found the perfect addition to your family? Now what?
The next step is to fill out an adoption application. You can complete and application online (preferred) or stop by the adoption center to fill out a paper application. Adopters must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent your home, we will need to contact your landlord or see a copy of your lease to verify the pet policy. Most applications can be approved within 24-48 hours.
Taking Your New Pet Home
After paying the adoption fee and pending the approval of your application, you may take your new pet home immediately. Adoption fees may vary and can be found on our website at:

Along with our Adoption Center and Farm Sanctuary, we offer a Community Pet Hospital, Rural Veterinary Care, Cruelty Investigations, Disaster Response, and a Safety Net Program for those needing temporary help due to domestic violence or emergency situations.
