Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Howdy! My name is Koda. I’m a strikingly handsome fella with a cool multi-colored coat that I’m quite proud to show off. I came to High Country Humane because my previous owner wasn’t able to give me the kind of life I need. But no worries—I’m all about looking ahead and finding my furever home. Could that be with you? My previous owners want you to know what a good boy I am! I’m potty trained, love treats, and am as loyal as they come. Inside the house and out in the yard, I’ve been a trustworthy companion—I was allowed to roam freely, and I’ve never jumped a fence! I get along great with female dogs, and playing fetch is absolutely my favorite thing. Plus, I’ve got some serious smarts—I know how to “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “lie down,” and even catch a ball in the air. That said, I’d do best in a home without small critters to chase (hey, I’m a cattle dog—it’s in my nature). I’m not a fan of loud noises, but I’ve handled living in an active home environment pretty well. Oh, and I love food, so it’s best if we eat separately to avoid me pulling out my irresistible puppy eyes.
What I really want is a yard for playtime, a best friend for fetch, and lots of love and loyalty to share. Do I sound like your new buddy? I sure hope so! Come meet me at High Country Humane—I can’t wait to meet you.
When you adopt from High Country Humane, I’ll be fixed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped (free registration included!). You’ll also get a free health exam. Don’t forget to bring a leash and collar for me, or grab one at the shelter for just $5. We’re open every day from 11 AM to 5 PM. Best part? My adoption fee is just $0!
