My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ideal Home: Laid back like himself, where he can be your one and only kitty!

Qualities: Mellow, Gentle, Endearing

Breaking Mews! We are thrilled to introduce 8 year old Bode, a dapper gentleman who is incredibly sweet and loving. Bode's favorite things include lounging in his cat condos, enjoying some catnip, and the company of his favorite person. He is shy at first, but once he warms up all he wants is to be your special 4 pawed companion. He is hard of hearing but that is just the extra charm he brings with him! Brode would prefer a home without other kitties so he can get all the attention he could dream of. He is FIV+ but is happy, healthy, and ready to his next adventure!

Bode has his bags packed and is ready to come home. Adoption applications are available below, he can't wait to read them!

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is a cat-specific virus that cannot be passed onto dogs or humans. FIV is spread through deep bite wounds, typically seen on outdoor male cats who have not been neutered. It's rarely spread through grooming, sharing bowls, or litter boxes. FIV affects a cat's immune system, but most cats live long lives when they live indoors, receive routine veterinary care, have a stress-free home, and a good diet. To learn more about FIV, please visit the link below.

About Ten Lives:

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.

Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!

All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
