Rosie is 4.5 years old, dapple, long-haired doxie. She was a twin and had one female in the litter with her, I originally bought both dogs, but they developed Liter-mate Syndrome and so at just past one year we separated them. My daughter has the other dog. In early Sept. Rosie ruptured a disc in her back and has been unable to use her back legs ever since. The recommended surgery was far too expensive, so the other treatment was for her to remain immobile for 8 long weeks. I had a dog stroller, so if she wasn't in her kennel, she was in the stroller. A new vet in our area recommended acupuncture treatments. I bought 5 and she is currently taking those. However, I can afford no more of them as I am self-employed seasonally and my job will end in Jan. until March. Plus my husband has Dementia and besides caring for Rosie, I'm also caring for him and it is finally just too much. If I had the time to work with Rosie I'm sure she could have all of the treatments and walk again.
