My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet D’Orsay! Just like her namesake, this lovely cat embodies refined charm and elegance. D’Orsay is sure to add a bit of Parisian flair to your life!

D’Orsay is a petite kitty, but she has a big personality! She is a spirited soul who enjoys her independence, but she also loves getting cozy with her friends nearby. She adores getting gentle affection from her people, but it should be on her terms and in small doses. She will let you know when she’s satisfied!

D’Orsay may be shy when she first moves into a new home. Once she warms up to you, she will happily brush against your legs to show some love and appreciation for you. Giving her time and space to blossom in your home is worth it for those moments! D’Orsay is looking for a patient adopter who will wait for her to come to them to socialize. She’s a confident lady who knows what she likes in life!

  • D'Orsay would do best in a quiet home with an understanding adopter who will let her set the pace for interactions.

Are you ready for this fancy cat to thrive in your home and live the royal life she’s always wanted? Click “Adopt Me” to learn more about the one-and-only D’Orsay here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/f7e9f6f0-6965-464e-b528-d49318ff3245

**The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet.

More about this shelter

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. Our organization was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and proud to boast more than 1 million supporters across the country.
