My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Luigi, the one-year-old lab-Doberman mix with a heart of gold! He’s a
professional head hugger, always ready to push his adorable noggin into
your chest for snuggles. With a tail that wags like it’s auditioning for a
role on Broadway, he walks well, redirects like a champ, and spreads
affection like confetti! His playful energy keeps life exciting, Luigi is a
lovable sweetheart, ready to steal your heart!

More about this shelter

Volunteers needed now. Are you an animal lover, do you have a couple of hours each week to volunteer? Many opportunities available. Work with dogs, cats, bunnies, office work, fostering and more. For more details on volunteering contact Michelle Maltun at (805) 345-5741.

We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but if not, we work to find a loving new family for them.

We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccination and license.

At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"
