James is a handsome cream-colored terrier mix whose estimated DOB is 9/1/2019 and on 10/30/2024 he weighed in at 16 pounds. He and his 2 brothers were found as strays and brought to our shelter. These dogs are unique looking with their beautiful fur color and hazel eyes. James is scared like his brothers and unsure of his current situation. It will take patience and time for him to learn to trust again, but he does want to be loved. If you are calm and go slowly, you will see that he loves to be petted , but trusting someone new is scary. Come meet James today and give him a home where he can feel safe and secure and learn to trust and let himself be loved.
Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.
