Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Duke!
Duke is a lovable, sweet-natured companion ready to find his forever home! This gentle boy is fully crate-trained and house-trained, making him an easy addition to any household. Duke adores children and, after a brief introduction, becomes a loyal friend who’s happiest when he’s cuddling, receiving head scratches, or quietly observing the world from a cozy window perch. Plus, he's a quiet guy who rarely barks—even when someone’s at the door.
Things we’re working on: Duke can feel a bit anxious around new people, but once he warms up, he’ll be your best buddy. He’s not aggressive, just a little cautious at first! He’s learning leash manners with a gentle leader to curb his pulling. He's also working on resisting the urge to counter-surf and understanding that beds are for humans (although he’d happily join you for a snuggle if allowed).
Duke’s social skills with other dogs are still a work in progress. He’s shown interest in playing with larger dogs but has a cautious tail tuck, so introductions to new canine friends need to be slow and gentle. He’s very sweet with smaller dogs right from the start.
If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, and well-trained companion who just needs a little help with confidence around new friends, Duke could be your perfect match!
