My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Margherita! This young one-year-old came to us from a feral colony in Long Beach, California, along with her three kittens. Margherita is still working on trusting humans and needs a quiet home with no children or dogs. Her ideal adopter has experience with feral or more independent cats and is ready to give her the time she needs to settle in.
Margherita loves observing her surroundings, hiding in cozy spots, and showing interest in toys and playtime. She might enjoy having a friendly feline companion, as she’s shown a sweet curiosity toward kittens. If you have a calm, patient home and are ready to give this lovely girl a chance, please reach out to learn more about Margherita!
Margherita is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
