My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Honeybun—your future bestie and cuddle connoisseur! I’m a big playful pup (59 pounds of pure joy, thank you very much) with a heart as sweet as my name. I’ve been told I’m great with other dogs, but really, I think they’re just lucky to know me. People? Oh, I LOVE people. Scratch my ears, tell me I’m pretty, and we’re BFFs for life.
I’m 1 yr old, fully vaccinated, spayed, and ready to move in with you. Did I mention my adoption fee is just $40? That’s a steal for a lifetime supply of laughs, tail wags, and loyalty. Call the shelter at 256-362-5856 to schedule a date with me. I promise to be on my best behavior… mostly.

More about this shelter

We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the entire county of Talladega excluding the city limits of Lincoln, Sylacauga, and Childersburg. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue. If you are interested feel free to contact us at 256-362-5856
