Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
**Adoption visits are by appointment only** If you see an animal you`re interested in, fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website https://everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet
Stormy is a young dog who can be shy at first. She`s looking for a dog savvy home that help her build her confidence through training and socialization. For now she would do best in a home with children 10 years and old who can respect space when needed. Stormy weighs 43 pounds.
Stormy went out on a Wandering Rover adventure, they said the following: Stormy did great in the car, she was probably calmest in the car. She is very ball driven but also very patient. When she feels like she has patiently waited long enough she does a high pitched whine. She did not bark otherwise, not at other dogs or people. She’s got an adorable radar ears and a wagging tail at all times. With some leash training, Stormy would be a great walking or running partner. She definitely has lots of energy. We did discover she knows sit and shake and also seemed to respond to ‘wait’ as a command. Stormy also loves a good bone! We went for a short walk, played ball at home and just hung out.

Our shelter is currently closed for general animal viewing, but we’ve still got awesome dogs, cats and other critters waiting for new families to come and adopt them. To help keep our staff, volunteers and community healthy, we are now providing adoptions by appointment. This enables us to comply with social distancing guidelines while still finding loving homes for the pets in our care.
How does this work?
First, check out our available animals online. If you see an animal you’re interested in, visit our website (www.everettwa.gov/161/Adopt-a-Pet) to complete an online adoption application.
Our staff will review your application and contact you to discuss the adoption. Please note that we receive many applications, and it may take up to a week before you are contacted.
Adoption appointments are set up using strict social distancing protocols, and many transactions are processed ‘curbside’ outdoors. Our staff will go over appointment details when they speak with you.
Renters bring rental pet policy at time of adoption. Not having the rental pet policy available may delay or nullify an adoption.
Animals are usually able to go home right away, so be prepared for your new pet to leave with you.
CATS
- Adult cats (over 6 months): $50
- Kittens (6 months and under): $125
- Two kittens adopted at the same time: $200
SMALL ANIMALS & BIRDS
- Adoption fees vary based on species
