Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This little gal named Ripley came in when she was just 2 weeks old. The great humans that found her drove 2 and a half hours because no one had room for her. She is the sole survivor of an animal attack. Her mother and 2 siblings were attacked and killed and this smart little 2 week old found a place to hide and cry until a human found her. Ripley now is 8 weeks old (born 9.14.24) and ready for her forever home. Please email TTARescue15@gmail.com for an application or questions.

Our adoption process is quite simple. Once you have decided you are interested in adopting a particular fur child you would either call or e-mail us. Please do keep in mind we are all volunteers and do work full time. We then will e-mail you an application once received we will do a vet check and call your references. Once approved we then set up a meet and greet either at our home or yours. When you do adopt your new forever fur child you will sign a adoption agreement and will also get copies of all medical paperwork. Our adoption fees for dogs is $250-$300 and cats are $80 to $100. If you are adopting a puppy or kitten there is an additional deposit towards neuter and spay, $50 for pups and $20 for kittens. Once you have your fur baby altered and you provide verification your deposit of $50 or $20 will be refunded.

Since we are a foster/home based rescue we do adoptions at many locations including our homes. When we are ready to set up the meet and greet we will decide at that time what is best for both parties.

More about this rescue
My members and I have been rescuing abandoned animals collectively for over 24 years. We have found loving homes for 1,000s of cats and dogs. We have pulled from high kill shelters to give a second chance at life to these animals that so desperately deserve it. We have volunteered with several local rescue organizations in the past. We provide education to the community on the importance of spay and neuter and proper training techniques, as well as try and help anyone who has an animal in need. With your help and support any donation whether it be monetary, linens, food, etc. will help our animals tremendously. Through fundraising and charitable contributions from individuals that believe in our mission TTAR can continue to be the voice of the tattered tails.
