Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, my name is Sadie. I’m a sweet 7 year old Shepherd, Yellow Lab mix. I’m good with kids of all ages and other large dogs. Thunderstorms and small dogs make me nervous. I prefer to be an indoor dog and would be a great guard dog. I’m protective in a home environment and quiet for the most part, but will let you know if someone is heading up the driveway. I walk well on a leash, am crate trained and house broken. I load up and ride nicely in a car. I’m very intelligent and easy to train. I already know sit, shake, sit pretty, lay down and more. I love big comfy beds and lounging on the couch. I’ll happily keep you warm and watch a movie with you. Please pick me! You can come to the shelter to meet, fall in love with and take me home today! You can also call the shelter at 479-394-5682 to find out more about me. **************** All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.
Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.
Adoption Fees: -$60 for cats -$60 for dogs over 6 years -$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years -$100 for puppies up to 6 months
Come visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.

When you decide to adopt a pet, we charge a fee to cover some of our costs. (Except for 2 employees, all others are volunteers!) If there is any problem with your adopted pet, call us to work out a solution. Occasionally, we do take adopted pets back, but very seldom. This is why visiting our shelter is so important! We are willing to work with you! And we appreciate referrals!
