My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy Seed is a shy, timid little girl who loves attention and pets. But don’t worry, she has some energy in her too! She does really well having her spunky, energetic older sister to lead the way for playtime but because she’s been the “little sis” for as long as she’s known she is definitely a bit more submissive.

She would do well in a calm home, with or without a playmate, but some energy would probably do her good to keep her coming out of her shell. She follows you around everywhere and loves nothing more than to be curled up on the couch next to you with a cozy blanket and lots of pets coming her way.

She walks well on a leash but also loves having a securely fenced backyard to run around in. Like her sister, her small size would make her a great fit for any size home. She is also still learning how to feel 100% clear on using the outdoor facilities but consistent outside time morning, night, and a few times throughout the day has helped her already pick it up quickly. She does really well in a crate whenever she needs to be left or even for sleeping overnight - it’s definitely her safe space. She is an adorable tiny baby and can’t wait to find her forever home!

***Please Note: All the available dogs listed on our website are getting spoiled in private foster homes. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
