My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We saved this sweet girl about 1/2 hour before she was to be euthanized at a huge, high kill shelter in Texas, and boy, are we glad we did! Haven is a beautiful, 2 year old girl, who is petite in statue, but has a large, sunny personality and the cutest nub tail...❤...Haven LOVES her toys and gleefully seeks them out. She is house trained, affectionate, plays well with other dogs, is fine with cats and has clearly lived in a house, as she knows all about human beds.  This sweet girl currently weighs about 40 lbs., but needs to gain about 10 more to be at her ideal weight.

Haven is looking for a home in the Northeast USA or Texas, that has another friendly dog for Haven to play with, a large fenced yard and a family who will shower her with love and show her just how good life can be.

If you are interested in welcoming Haven into your family, please fill out an adoption application and we will be in touch promptly. Hope to hear from you soon. Haven's adoption fee is $500, which includes complete vetting and medical record, new bed, Harness, leashes, collar, ball, bone, food for transitioning and transport to his new home.

Haven is currently in foster in Texas.

Take the Pet Home

Since most of our dogs are fostered in Texas, your new family member will be transported to you upon adoption.

Additional adoption info

Once we have saved a dog and they have been examined by our veterinarian, we take the time to evaluate their personality, energy level, medical/physical needs (if any), and overall behavior. Based on this information, we review each application, looking for a home that will best meet each dog's individual needs. If your application looks like it would be a good match for the dog you applied for, we will contact you within one week.

Please be patient as we are staffed with volunteers. Please note, if you are not selected, it is not a reflection of you as a potential dog owner. Our decision to move forward in the adoption process is based on each dog's evaluation/assessment and information we receive on the adoption application. We hope you can appreciate our goal to find the right forever home for every dog we save....❤

More about this rescue

We began as a Facebook page established in 2015 as a place for lovers of labs to share photos, stories, information and support. We then evolved into a rescue community in early 2016 when our founder discovered Angus sitting in a shelter in Gordon County, Georgia. Our Facebook 'village' responded to her challenge and stepped up to help provide Angus with the vet care he needed before he could be adopted. Unfortunately, Angus was not able to complete his journey, but he quickly became the inspiration for our group. Today, our village is instrumental in helping us find homes for our dogs through its generous donations, fundraising efforts, networking our dogs across their Facebook pages, and – most importantly - opening up their homes and hearts for foster and adoption.
