My name is Milo!

Milo joined my life at 8 weeks old after my retirement from the Navy in 2022. With all my free time in retirement, I was able to keep him actively engaged and stimulated. My vet connected me with Virginia Recovery K9 (VRK9), an organization supported by the Virginia Police Working Dog Association (VPWDA) that collaborates with law enforcement on cadaver scent work. Milo excelled in scent detection and advanced his skills with the guidance of a friend who is the kennel master for the Norfolk Police Department. He’s experienced in working in diverse settings, including rubble piles, wood areas, shops, restaurants, and public spaces, and consistently performs remarkably well off-leash. Now that I'm back to work & my schedule involves frequent travel, it’s become more difficult to provide the exercise and mental challenges he needs to thrive.
