We have a VERY special boy who is looking for his forever home. Meet Kal, whose owner surrendered him to us, because he is leaving the country and wanted to make sure his boy got the very best home. Kal's owner picked him up as a stray a couple of years ago, when he found him abandoned on a ranch in Texas. Since then, Kal has been a very loyal companion. He is a very CALM boy, who knows basic commands, is house trained, very loving and just an all-around good guy ❤ Kal is a big, 6-7 year old, weighing in at about 150 lbs., but could stand to lose a little weight to protect his joints.
Kal would be the perfect companion for a retired couple or someone who works from home, who live in a rural setting, as Kal is used to living in the country with his retired owner. Kal would be perfectly happy as a single dog, as people are his focus, but gets along fine with the other dogs in his playgroup, he just doesn't show any interest in playing.
That said, if you live in the Northeast OR Texas and are interested in giving this sweet guy a home, please fill out an adoption application. Our Facebook 'village' responded to her challenge and stepped up to help provide Angus with the vet care he needed before he could be adopted. Unfortunately, Angus was not able to complete his journey, but he quickly became the inspiration for our group. Today, our village is instrumental in helping us find homes for our dogs through its generous donations, fundraising efforts, networking our dogs across their Facebook pages, and – most importantly - opening up their homes and hearts for foster and adoption.
