My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Chupacabra! I'm one of P&C's youngest additions and I have quite the personality! Let me tell you about it.

First things first, I'm a huge person lover and can't think of a better way to spend my time than laying right on someone's lap. I accept all the pets and love to be included in on your daily tasks. My foster parent thinks it's quite funny that every time she walks through the door I run up to her and demand to be picked up. I just can't get enough physical attention! I'd definitely say that among my siblings, I'm certainly the most affectionate.

When I'm not following you around or cuddling up to you, I love to play and have lots of energy to expend. My siblings and I have been gifted the most amazing toys, they're a blast to bat at and chase around! You can also expect me to run a few laps and do my best dance moves that I'm sure will make you laugh. My foster thinks I'm quite goofy and I'd have to agree.

When I dream about my future home, I picture it filled with kids, adults, and maybe even a feline sibling I can play with! I do very well with adapting to new environments and would certainly make a great addition to any home! I just ask that I'm not left alone for too long as I will miss you so dearly.

I'd love to meet your family, my bags are already packed!

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
