Who is up for the ultimate chaos kitten! Well you found the right rodeo!! John Henry is go go go all the time, then he’ll sleep hard. The highest of heights are his favorite places, anything that moves is the best toy ever, and boxes are phenomenal to chew on. With his “on the go” tendencies he doesn’t have a whole lot of time (or patience) for snuggles. When the inevitable crash happens, he is more than happy to snuggle up close by you, but his sister Wynonna is a favorite cuddle buddy always. He is not a super fan of volunteering to be held and carried around but he is also slow to escape the scoop. His adorableness is a popular target for forced cuddles and he usually stays contently with the scooper until he is free’d. While his sister Wynonna is terrible about counter surfing and stealing people food, John Henry LOVES crinkly plastic. He can find all of the wrappers that the kids have hidden. It really is a super talent and it gets the human kids in all sorts of trouble! He is also very stealthy about it. He steals oatmeal cream pies and mini muffins straight out their boxes and pouches of microwave rice right out of the grocery bags… Nothing is safe… But his “I didn’t do that!” face gets so close to getting him off the hook.
This kiddo was raised with big cats, unhappy cats, an old dog they don’t understand, and an 8y old person that has boundary issues. All these things together make for a well rounded adolescent cat but they've also shown us the John Henry is going to need to find an equally full rodeo as we don't think he'll do well as a lone cat. If you are looking for a zoomie artist, a mountain climber, a purr machine, or a naughty wrapper thief consider this adventure seeking gunslinger to join your kitty rodeo!
John Henry's adoption fee is $100 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and an FeLV test. Last Hope requires all animals to be kept as indoor only pets, and adopters to have a history of keeping their pets altered and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes background and reference checks, a vet history check, and a home visit. Please submit an application through our website, adopthope.org to be considered for adoption.
