**** Courtesy Post: Hi, I’m Ginny, I am a female, German Shepard Dog who is approximately 6 months old and I weigh 43 pounds. I’m a sweet, playful, and loving girl who’s full of energy and cuddles. As soon as you walk in the door, I’ll be there to greet you and let you know how unacceptable it was to go somewhere without me!

I’m potty trained (yay me!) and know how to sit and bring your shoes to you (mostly when you don't ask for them!). I keep up with my foster siblings during playtime and let them know I’m always ready for some fun. I love checking out the cats, but keep my distance because I don't think they are ready to play just yet.

Car rides? I’m not a huge fan. Walks on a leash? I’m still getting the hang of it! I’m learning my basic commands, but I’m a quick study. Most of all, I just love being around my humans—there’s nowhere I’d rather be.

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. An adoption fee (usually between $250-$500) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.
