My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Bob is a handsome lab mix joining us from our friends Saving Shelter Strays, where he has been a resident for several months. Bob is estimated to be about a year old, and weighs 60lbs. He has a friendly, even temperement and is playful with dogs, neutral with cats, and friendly with the children he has met at adoption events. Bob has a beautiful, plush coat and and an adorable bobbed tail (bonus points for Bob! No knocking things off the coffee table *wink*). We are excited to meet him and help him find his family here in the PNW.

Foster Update:  Bob is a big sweetheart! He likes exercise and training and is doing great with leash work. He loves to cuddle and have someone close to give him belly rubs and pets. Bob is crate trained and doing well with potty training–as long as he’s kept on a regular schedule. He is not aggressive and when other dogs bark he rarely if ever barks back. He usually just moves closer to me. He is a little insecure, unsure about men, and a puppy at heart. Bob is not really coordinated right now; he runs like a lopping horse. It is really cute to watch and he has so much fun running it makes you smile! I think that will streamline in time.

Bob is doing great with training and knows sit, down, low, free & crate. He is learning leave it, place, and I am working with him to teach him catch. Bob is a great dog and seems to gravitate towards love, comfort, and food. He is a young pup and will benefit from an active family who are committed to continue working on training with him. He has a great foundation so far!
