My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Whiskerton is a luscious, fluffy, handsome Maine Coon mix with a personality to match. He's an armful of soft, fluffy, purry love, and that's exactly where he wants to be at all times -- in your arms. He'll even wrap is paws around your neck and give you hugs. This is one affectionate cat! He adds new meaning to the phrase "lap-cat." And talk about biscuits! You'll be able to open a bread factory after spending time with this enthusiastic little guy!

Mr. Whiskerton was dumped by his not-so-nice humans in a feral colony, and you can just imagine how scared and confused he must've been. This is anything but a street cat! But a compassionate feral feeder spotted him right away and noticed that he didn't fit it. She was able to scoop him up in her arms and whisk him to safety. Luckily, he came through that harrowing experience with his health and spirit in tact. He's so trusting and loving, you'd never know he'd ever encountered an unkind human in his life. He's also extremely well behaved and polite, with impeccable litter box habits. He's the perfect cat!

Now all this handsome fella needs is a forever home where he can relax in safety and comfort, and shower his human with love and adoration every moment of the day. Will you be the lucky one?

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
