My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I would do best in a home with only adult humans.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I am looking for a home with a patient person.

Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.

A volunteer writes: If you love big, playful, outgoing dogs, then Whiskey Roll may be the perfect one for you! He makes friends very easily - being wiggly and waggy during his intake; and during his behavior assessment (where he also played a game of fetch with a squeaky toy); and was even friendly during his medical exam. He was a bit shy with me at first, but quickly warmed up, wiggling around as I pet him, and shaking his butt in the air when I gave him lower-back scratches. Whisky came to us due to a no-pets housing rule. His previous family describe him as social, affectionate, very active, and playful; and tell us he loves car rides, playing with toys, and snacking on blueberries, strawberries, rice, and chicken. Whisky is a young pup who needs help with his leash manners, and who can get overstimulated by the environment or when interacting with people, so he'd benefit from training to help him with this. He'll make a great student though - he already knows the cues for "sit" and "down." (He's housebroken, too!). You can meet this 67-pound bundle of cuteness at our Queens shelters where he's awaiting his fur-ever home.
