My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say Hello to Lucy! Lucy is 3 years young and searching for her forever companion and adventure buddy! Lucy loves to be outside, almost as much as she loves to stay close
to her human. She doesn't mind her kitty siblings and if children want to play a game of fetch, Lucy is ready to go! This beautiful girl, is house-trained, crate trained and up to
date on her vaccinations and preventatives. The only thing missing for Lucy is her forever home!
Lucy is young and healthy and loves to run and play. She would do well with someone who is active and has a fenced yard. To apply to adopt Lucy, go to our website https://forrescue.net/adoptable-dogs/

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! Our dogs are mainly fostered in one of our many experienced foster homes. All of our animals receive rabies vaccine, distemper/parvo vaccine, bordatella, microchip, and spay/neuter, as well as being kept current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. All of our dogs come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting, as well as transportation to your area.

Our rescue doesn't have an actual facility in the New England area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! Our transport service is certified through the USDA. We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things do not work out. We try hard to make good matches with our animals and their adopters so that everyone has a happy life together! Our foster homes love the animals in their homes and will fully disclose everything about them – some can even Skype or send videos for you to see them in action.

We can provide references from other rescues, previous New England adopters, and our veterinarians if requested.

Go to www.FORrescue.net and click on "Adoption" and then "Applications" to apply for the animal you are interested in adopting.

Please email us at info@FORrescue.net with any questions you might have about FOR or our adoption process

Go meet their pets

Our animals are mostly fostered in northern Alabama. But we have many wonderful adopters who come from the Tennessee area to adopt our wonderful adoptables.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.
