Meet Bruno and Smudge, an inseparable bonded pair of Siamese mix cats who are ready to bring double the love into your home! Bruno, with his striking blue eyes and sleek coat, is the outgoing, playful one of the duo, always ready for a game or a cozy cuddle session. Smudge, with her unique markings and gentle demeanor, is the more laid-back companion, always by Bruno’s side, offering soft purrs and affection. These two share an unbreakable bond, and they’re looking for a home where they can stay together forever. More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
