My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AN AFFECTIONATE AND FUN PUPPY:  Approx. 5 - 6 months old / Approx. 24 lbs. & growing

Hello, my name’s Glenn!  I found myself at animal control as a young pup, and I was thrilled when – on my lucky day – Mostly Mutts came to rescue me!  I’m now ready to meet my new furever family.  Plan to come meet me soon!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked them, so if you have a nice dog that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’ve got a great reputation at the shelter where the volunteers call me ‘an awesome puppy’ with a sweet and friendly demeanor.  I was just delightful for my shelter bath – sitting calmly throughout – readily accepting my nail trim too. I’m happy and excited to interact with people and as affectionate and loving and I am handsome with my awesome Heeler eyes.  I’m sure to win your heart! / My energy level is 5-7.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I’ve mastered the ‘sit’ command, and I can’t wait to learn more.  Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being with people and happily give gentle kisses and hugs.  Toys are always fun, too.  I am a very nice walker, so I hope to go on lots of walks and perhaps some hikes with you! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on my annual immunizations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I came in with a little fur loss and some healing minor wounds, so I’ll need medicated baths for a little longer.  These can easily be done in my new home.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
