My name is Hugo!

Hugo is a really funny, sweet boy who loves to play and cuddle on the couch. We rescued him when he was about 3 months old, and he’s 4 years old now.

He is a truly excellent dog and we love him to pieces. He’s smart, and clever. He loves to play chase, frisbee is a great game to get some physical energy out. He knows: loose leash walking, heel/working walk, down, bed, shake. He is crate trained. He’s extremely food motivated.

He is the sweetest greeter, he’s all waggles when his people get home. Sometimes he is aloof, but he’s almost always around. A dogTV subscription for him is almost a must! Sometimes I invite him into my home office and he looks at the tv instead, clearly asking if he can watch his shows.

He can be reactive and anxious, but we’ve done a lot of very effective work with him. We havent been able to train him out of resource guarding against our cat and other dog. He has never resource guarded against people. He may be able to live with a larger, confident dog.
