Mariah is a beautiful, affectionate, and talkative little lady who’s around 12 years old. Will you give this girl a home for her retirement years? In early October, a super-skinny and sickly gal found her way to a community cat feeding station. Her fur was severely matted, her eyes and nose were dripping, and it was obvious she didn't belong outside. We don’t know how she got there, but we knew she needed help. Despite a rough couple of months, she was an immediate sweetheart and has won the hearts of everyone she’s met -- seriously, we’ve never seen a vet’s office gush over a cat the way they have with Mariah. She’ll give you lots of love (and singing!) when you walk into the room, and she loves to curl up on a lap, purr, and be cozy while getting pets. Since coming inside, she’s already gained over a pound and is well on her way to her full recovery. She is negative for FeLV and FIV, microchipped, and current on vaccines. Mariah would love to be the only cat in the home. We think she’d be perfect for someone who’s looking for a calm, solo cat and prefers naps and snuggles over high-energy play sessions. Will you be the one to give her the loving forever home that she deserves?
This is a courtesy listing, meaning the cat(s) are being offered for adoption by a rescuer, rescue group, or individual unaffiliated with the Brooklyn Cat Cafe or Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition. As BBAWC has not evaluated the animal(s) we therefore cannot provide information on health or temperament. The adoption fee may be different than what BBAWC charges. After we receive an application, we will connect you with the current caretaker of this cat.
