If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Nova from the Animal Humane Society four years ago. She was just nine months old at the time, but already pretty large. Since day one she has been a lovable little sweetheart. She is extremely playful but at the same time very chill. Always ready for naps & cuddles but also always ready to play. Nova loves swimming, maybe because she is part Labrador. If there was a way I could safely keep her with me, I would. Rehoming her has been one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. I love Nova very much, she deserves an active, loving home, preferably with another big dog, a fenced in backyard &/or several good walks a day. At one point after I first brought Nova home, I fostered a friend of mine’s big male (full blooded) Pitbull, & for the first maybe two weeks they didn't really get along, but after a while they became inseparable. I fostered him for two years. Also, I have taken Nova to dog parks & she has gotten along just fine with other big dogs. She’s a sweetie.
