My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mia is a Shepard, mix and some of the other 31 flavors. She is approx. a one year of age and weighs 70 pounds. She is a big, beautiful, healthy girl with a zest for life. She is fun, playful, affectionate, cuddly, smart and the list can go on and on! Mia is also a pool girl and likes to swim. She likes walks and would be a great hiker, camper, going to the lake buddy. Anything fun she is in. Mia is crate trained, potty trained and a great traveler. Mia loves all dogs and people. Everybody is her friend and she instantly loves you.
Mia was rescued when her owners did not want her anymore. She was being put out the door hoping she would run away. They under estimated Mia’s love and loyalty to them. Mia would go up to people going by and they would return her to the house, once the people were gone Mia was put back out. She would never run away. A representative for Luv of Dogz was notified, went to the house and asked if they would surrender her to us. They did, and now its our job to find Mia her perfect family. Despite all that Mia is a happy and well-adjusted girl who is full of love and trust. Since she has been in a foster home for several weeks, we know what she needs for a good fit.
• Mia’s new family will need to have a house with a yard that has a secure block wall to be safe to run and play in.
• Mia will need another compatible active and playful dog to play with and be with
• Mia will need an active family that has her same activity level
• Mia loves kids, best to have older children just because of her size and activity level (toddlers and little ones could be accidently knocked down)
• Mia will need a family who will have the time to give her attention, outdoor playtime and continue basic obedient training
• A family who can make a lifetime commitment to her through all of life’s changes
Mia will make a wonderful new addition to the family. She will want to be included in all the family fun and be a part of the family. Mia has already proven by her past that she is a very loyal and devoted girl. She is ready to give you all that love. Take a leap of faith, come meet her and see for yourself how special she is

More about this rescue

We are a 501 C-3 rescue. We help animals in crisis by taking animals from the streets and neglectful situations and working with county pounds. We also do courtesy listings and help other rescues who are full, and taking in animals with immediate medical needs. This group is made up of seasoned rescuers. We focus on quality not quantity. We make sure each dog gets the medical care they need and then find them loving families.
