My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

❤  IN VERMONT  ❤

Meet Yoda! https://youtu.be/QycKo4bn_kA

Yoda is 18 months old, female (approx. DOB tbd), 65.8 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. When we saved Jack Frost from this NC shelter we were smitten with Yoda, well fell in love, and couldn't leave her there! Her owner surrendered her because they couldn't afford to keep her anymore

We were already picking JF up so.......... That face and that underbite........... eeeek! When we asked for a kennel approach video it was clear that she had given up hope. People walk by and no one stops for her. We think she's been waiting for her family to come back and get her. She gives a little wag after time but doesn't even get off her bed to come say hi. Yoda assessed well with other dogs at the shelter, may be good with cats (all cat/dog relationships are different), has medium energy, is social, appears to be potty trained, and her happiness is contagious. She doesn't give up because she knows there are better days to come. Stay tuned for more information as Yoda is a new rescue!

If you are interested in adopting Yoda please fill out an Application at  www.Passion-4-Paws.org  (please make sure you have the Vermont site not CT) - thanks!

Disclosure:   Breed labels are often incorrect: we rarely know the genetic lineage of the dogs we rescue.  Many shelters and rescues specify breeds based on appearance; however, research has shown that less than 2% of a dog’s DNA determines appearance!   Passion 4 Paws does not practice the use of labels pertaining to compatibility with others or dog breed.  Labels such as “dog friendly” and “child friendly” should be used with caution as they often over-simplify the personalities and behavior of dogs.

More about this rescue

Passion 4 Paws is an animal rescue organization founded by Robin Shover of Shelburne, Vermont. Robin has invested many years learning best practices to rescue dogs primarily from death row at high kill shelters. Robin works very closely with Potters Angels Rescue out of Randolph, Vermont and decided the most effective way to save even more dogs is to continue working closely with PAR plus her own new entity in Chittenden County and surrounding areas. Many people who personally know Robin realize her "passion" and dedication to the dogs. P4Ps rescues dogs from high kill shelters, provides a safe environment with foster families and adopters, education for the community, and advocacy for animal rights. Our group will be staffed entirely by volunteers and will be served by a Board of Directors. Our efforts will be supported through donations, charity events, Corporate/Employee Benefit tax deductible donation programs, and the generosity of animal lovers from within the community. Our focus is on dog rescue only. All funds received will be used strictly for this purpose and will incorporate medical bills, transport fees, food and other items for the dogs, shelter fees, charity events, boarding, and training.
