Introducing an adorable Pomeranian, weighing in at 7 pounds, DOB 10/16/23, Scotty is looking for his forever spot to call home. His ideal spot would be a home with the right pawrents to continue working with him on basics and potty training- we don't know how long he was left outside without guidance, but do know this cutie is smart and will make a great addition to the right family. Scotty has done well with the other dogs in his foster home (his size- large dogs are unknown), could make friends with a cat (but hasn't met one), and we see him doing well with children over 10 who know that he is a very small dog.
Scotty will need a fully secure fenced yard to house him safely. He is not use to a leash (but is being introduced and worked with), is working on potty training, hasn't used a crate in his foster home, and has begun learning his home manners and some basics. His foster describes him as, "Scotty is absolutely adorable- plays with his sister (Minnie) and his foster siblings very well, is small enough to travel with, if necessary, and doesn't show behaviors like chewing things- bonus! He is a bit timid at first but once he knows his people- he enjoys them." Dogworks strives to place dogs into permanent homes based on the dogs' personalities and yours. To adopt a dog, we require a completed application, approved vetting, signed adoption contract, and home visit.
Adoption applications are available on our website (www.dogworksohio.com) and at all Meet & Greets. Once your application has been submitted, we will contact your references and consider suitability. You will be contacted by phone or email, typically within 4 business days, to discuss arrangements for adoption contract and home visit.
Adoption fees are variable (typically $125-$250) and are listed with the description of each dog. Adoption fee will be refunded if you decide that the dog is not compatible with your family within 2 weeks.
Adopted dogs must be returned to Dogworks in the event that they can no longer remain a member of your household for any reason.
All dogs have been updated on vaccines and tested for heartworm prior to adoption. Adult dogs and puppies older than 14 weeks are spayed/neutered. Adopters of younger puppies are required to sign an agreement to complete spay/neuter by 6 months of age. We will assist with spay/neuter costs. Adopters will receive a copy of medical records.
