Don’t let 45 years young fool you! Murphy here is packed with personality and has a lot to say. Some of his favorite things to do are wrestle with his toys, make sounds clicks, and sing with the voice of an angel when he thinks he’s alone. He is slowly starting to come out of his shell and show more of his personality. Some of his favorite treats are boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, veggie chop with apples, and birdie bread. The perfect home for Murphy would be a family that is comfortable handling large birds and preferably has Amazon experience as Murphy’s moods and behavior can be mercurial at times. If you want to companion to serenade you, that loves to sit next to you and watch parrot TV while mumbling like a grumpy old man, Murphy is your guy! He’s a bright soul with lots of life and adventures left to have with the right family! Adoption fee: $400.

We will review your application, and perform a background check, vet check and when applicable, a landlord check.

For most species, a meeting is required. For some species, multiple meetings may be needed or required.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once approved, sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Whether interested in adopting a particular bird or not, you will need to fill out an Adoption Application, which can be found on our website. From there, our adoption team will process your application (including background check, veterinarian check for all current animals, and a home visit)
We will not ship any of our adoptable birds, and have a 100-mile adoption radius. We do not adopt to breeders. We are not able to adopt birds into homes that use Teflon product or smoke due to toxicity dangers.
