My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Charlie – the big, muscular guy, ready to  sweep you off your feet and steal your heart! If you're looking for a feline friend who's all about love and affection, then look no further. I am your man- ahem, I mean cat. I may have a very masculine presence, but deep down, I'm just a big softie with an insatiable appetite for affection and pets. One of my favorite things to do is to walk in between your legs, just to let you know I'm here and also to follow you to wherever you are going. In the morning, I will walk you to your car like a gentleman! Just be careful to not trip on me as you walk. I'm not shy about letting you know when I want pets – a gentle nudge here and there should do the trick! Although I'm big and masculine, my meows are little squeaks. You'd never know it's me!

I love supervised outdoor time in our foster mama's big backyard, lounging in the sun, and feeling the fresh air. I was originally an outdoor feral cat, but have learned that indoors in a warm cozy house with my loving human is so much better than the scary outdoors!

I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, and now looking for my furrever family. Could that be yours? Applilcation is required for a meet & greet.

Charlie has been patiently awaiting his perfect home especially because he is FIV+. Historically, FIV- positive cats have often been considered un-adoptable, and are euthanized in many shelters. However, new research has shown that FIV-positive cats are in fact very adoptable, and can live the same lifespan as an FIV-negative cat. (Read more here: https://vbspca.com/what-you-should-know-when-adopting-an-fiv-positive-cat/) Charlie is now an indoor kitty and would love the chance to join a loving and warm family. Could that be yours?

 MUST FOLLOW APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Go to  https://www.kittenrescue101.org/adopt/available-cats and Click "adopt" on the cat's profile you are interested in. Clicking adopt does not mean that you are adopting this cat. It will take you to an application to fill out which is the first step of the adoption process. (NOTE: If the kitten is a bonded pair, do not apply for him/her as a single kitten. These applications will not be considered)

2) If your application is approved, you will receive a call back within 2-3 days with an appointment time slot. We do our best to match the cat to the best environment/family/situation as possible based on the cat's personality and temperament.

More about this rescue

We are a small home based rescue serving the San Joaquin & Bay Area. It is our mission to rescue cats and kittens and provide them with supportive medical care, socialization, food, shelter to reduce unnecessary suffering. All of our kittens/cats are rescues and we try our best to place them into adoptable homes. Without human intervention, many of these cats & kittens would suffer from disease, starvation, death or live outdoors the remainder of their lives- afraid of humans. With a little bit of help, socialization, and lots of love, they come to learn and seek human attention and affection. We believe that all animals deserve a chance at life.
