Oooh, handsome tuxedo boy! His name is Sylvester of course. He's very cool.

If you have kids or dogs that would like a cool cat in the house and as a playmate in the yard, Sylvester is your guy. He also gets along with girl cats and boys who don't try to dominate him. He's a great playmate. Always cool, but he knows how to have fun. He tends to be calm and doesn't seem to let too much bother him (although he will not tolerate being picked on). The dogs get all nuts with each other and race around and one of them ends up leaping over his back. Oh well. You know dogs are.

Sylvester is the dream cat for a happy family who will love him and let him be him, easy and confident and happy to be with you. He does love to go outside, when there is not snow on the ground, and check out his world. So he'll need a good yard for summer activities. He' probably a couple years old and the cool guy who could be part of your loving family.

Clear Creek Cat Rescue rehomes kitties based on 'best fit' approach. We require that adopters sign our adoption contract and a legally binding no-declawing agreement. There is an adoption fee. Most adult cats are $80 except for those who are sponsored or part of a special. Kittens under 8 months are $135. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Kittens are adopted at 12 weeks of age or older and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Dur to pandemic, we are doing virtual adoptions and slowly transitioning to in person. Our cats are available for adoption from their foster homes located all over southcentral Alaska.

More about this rescue

Clear Creek Cat Rescue is a group of individuals in Alaska dedicated to rescuing cats in need, giving them care, rehabilitation if needed, and finding happy homes for them. We each give what we can to help these cats get through this most unfortunate time in their lives when they have been taken to the pound or are otherwise lost and homeless. Some of us share our homes with these cats while they are waiting for their forever family, some transport them from place to place, some host adoption fairs, take pictures, post ads. Some offer financial help.
In 2020, we rescued and rehomed approximately 650 cats.
