Whitney was surrendered by her owner along with her two fur-siblings due to a sudden change in housing circumstances. Despite the upheaval in her life, Whitney remains a sweet girl who is ready to find her forever home. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but don’t let that fool you! Her affectionate nature will shine once she feels comfortable in her new environment and she thrives on the attention from her people. Whitney does have a sweet yet vocal personality, so she would do best in a home setting rather than an apartment.
Whitney is good on a leash and accustomed to going for walks with her people. She prefers not to be tethered and enjoys being a part of family activities. She does well with other small dogs and is looking for a home where she feels safe and confident, so she may need to be introduced carefully to larger dogs. A calm and steady household with a mature but active family would suit her best. She loves undivided attention and is used to being in a relaxed home setting—she is house trained and crate trained but prefers to roam freely. She has shown no interest in cats either.
Whitney still enjoys playing with toys and will require regular grooming to keep her coat looking its best. She is accustomed to grooming and will do well during those sessions. She also enjoys going for car rides, making her the perfect companion for adventures!

OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
