Mouse is one beautiful and super cool dude. He would make an excellent cat for a first timer. He easily acclimates to new surroundings and people almost immediately and knows what a litter box is. We rescued him from a forest in Albany, OR, after his homeless owner disappeared and he hung out at a feral cat feeding station all the time. So we finally decided no more living outside with the winter coming.
Mouse is super lovable and a very easy cat to care for. He loves people and hungers for to their attention. He purrs in appreciation whenever one passes by and can be talkative and can be more verbal the more comfortable he becomes. And he loves sleeping on the human bed. We think he knows how lucky he is. It's his way of saying "thank you!" He will make someone a wonderful companion. However, we think he needs to be the only cat, or atleast the only male cat because he is FIV+ and will probably want to be the alpha male. He can live a long and full 9 lives as long as he gets regular preventative vet care, at least annually.
He is familiar with dogs and other cats but we don't know how he is with kids. Though we think he would be easy and gentle as well, as long as the child is well behaved, educated to cat behavior, and with adult supervision while around him.
Mouse was neutered on 11/13/24 along with vaccinations: FVRCP (treats/prevents Distemper, Herpes, and URIs), & 1 yr Rabies. He was tested for FeLV and negative. But did test positive for FIV (Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus). He is also received flea treatment and dewormer and Mouse is microchipped. He will be delivered to your home with medical records for an adoption fee of $140.
