My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Tigger! I'm a bit of a wallflower at first, but once I warm up to you, I'm as sweet as can be. I love a good chin scratch and a soft voice. I'm the type of cat who'll sit by your side while you read a book or watch TV. I'm not much for play, but I do enjoy a good puzzle toy. I may be shy, but don't let that fool you. I have a lot of love to give. I'm looking for a patient, understanding home where I can come out of my shell at my own pace. Adopting me means a loyal friend for life.

If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come.

Go meet their pets

Our Shelter is open every day from 10am-4pm, except Sundays. On Sundays, we are open from noon-4pm.

We are open for walk-ins, but we recommend appointments because some of our pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment with another potential adopter. We just don't want you to come to our location and be disappointed if you can't meet a pet you are interested in.

You can select an appointment time using this link: https://koalendar.com/e/meet-and-greet-appointment.
