My story

She is a 1.5 year old Border Collie mix who is good with dogs, cats and kids. CassieNova is a sweet and friendly girl who won’t leave your side no matter where you take her. She is a true companion, protector, and best friend. CassieNova loves to cuddle on the couch with you or spend time outside doing yard work, farm work or hiking, whichever you may choose!

CassieNova is crate trained, house trained and knows basics command. She rides great in the car and loves adventures. She will fit perfectly in any family and will bring so much joy! She now just needs a family to call her own, will that be you?

All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.

We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application.

We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information.

We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.

Submit Application

Apply online at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply

Approve Application

We perform vet and landlord checks if necessary and will contact you if your application is approved.

3.
Meet the Pet

If approved, a volunteer will bring the dog to your home for a meet & greet and home check.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the adoption representative and you agree the dog is a good fit for your family, you will complete the adoption contract and pay the fee.

As a network of foster homes, we do not have a "shelter location". We do hold meet and greet events each month at various locations where you can meet our precious pitties. Otherwise, meet and greets are only available with an approved application and home visit.
