My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Eden came to us from animal control where she was found stray as a young puppy. She is a dainty little girl with LOOONG legs and a petite little body (roughly 5-7# at this time) She looks very much like an Italian greyhound mix, but breeds are always a guess! On arrival she was painfully malnourished and too skinny. The poor nutrition at such a young age has delayed her skeletal development slightly. After a few weeks in foster, she has filled out a little, although she should be lean if we have estimated her breed correctly. Eden is a happy, playful girl with puppy needle teeth - we are working on the puppy biting when she plays! She is now off of parvo precautions and has started learning outside potty habits and is beginning leash training. Eden will need a home that recognizes that she is a small delicate dog - rough playing with humans and other dogs might get her hurt! She's also pretty clumsy, so she needs to be watched so that she doesn't injure herself jumping from furniture! She is good with other small dogs and respectful of larger ones. She has not been exposed to cats.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.

Go meet their pets

Our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
